Nach Abschluss der Sekundarschule lebte sie von 1965 bis 1976 in Israel, wo sie Besch\u00e4ftigungstherapie studierte. Die folgenden vier Jahre verbrachte sie in Paris, worauf sie 1981 mit ihren beiden Kindern in die Schweiz zog. Ihr Vater gr\u00fcndete die erste private Arztpraxis f\u00fcr Schwarzafrikaner in Bulawayo. Als kleines Kind erhielt Dessa Unterricht in Ballett und Klavier, wobei letzteres eine zentrale Rolle in ihrer Kunst spielte.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Nach ihrer Abitur lebte sie von 1965 bis 1976 in Israel, wo sie Ergotherapie studierte. Ihr kreatives Schaffen spiegelt ihre kulturelle Vielfalt wider, sowohl in der Wahl ihrer Themen (durch die sie ihre Identit\u00e4t erforscht) als auch in den Medien und Ausdrucksmitteln, die sie verwendet.
